Nutty Chocolate Fudge #FoodieExtravaganza

nutty-chocolate-fudge-foodieextravaganza

I love this month theme, we all know that October is a chocolate month and we must make lots and lots of delicious recipes using chocolate, especially because is a great opportunity to clean up the pantry and start fresh for the holidays.

As a chocoholic myself, I always have a good amount of different kinds of chocolate, you know like chips, bars, and cocoa, I have to say that my pantry is always full with a good variety of this amazing treat.

So check out your pantry because this recipe is super easy to make and I’m sure you will find all the ingredients hiding somewhere.

fudge-foodieextravaganza

Foodie Extravaganza is a monthly food fest, where a group of bloggers all create and share a recipe around one of the monthly food ‘holidays’ as detailed in The Nibble. This month Kathleen from Fearlessly Creative Mammas is hosting and since chocolate day is October 28th, Chocolate is our theme. There are actually two other days that incorporate chocolate in October, the 14th is Chocolate Covered Insect Day and the 18th is Chocolate Cupcake day. We didn’t want to get to specific though, so we will just say chocolate.

Posting day is always the first Wednesday of each month. If you are a blogger and would like to join our group and blog along with us, come join our Facebook page Foodie Extravaganza. We would love to have you! If you’re a spectator looking for delicious tid-bits check out our Foodie Extravaganza Pinterest Board! Looking for our previous parties? Check them out HERE.

Now, check out these great chocolate submissions!

Back To School Ghostly Snacks #BTSSpirit #ad #CollectiveBias

Back to school is around the corner, and we can’t wait to start a new and exciting year. My girls are almost ready, they just need a few last-minute items to help with a successful first day of school. This year I’m super inspired by the Ghostbusters movie and making all snacks a little more ghostly, with the help of specially marked Ghostbusters branded bottles of M&M’s® and MARS treats, I’m sure we would have a perfect back to school.

#BTSSpirit #ad #CollectiveBias #walmart

Me on the other hand, I have my day full with lots of shopping and prepping to have everything we need on hand. This is one of the reasons I love to go to Walmart because I can find all the items I need to make this year snacks. And to keep it even more exciting I came up with the idea of incorporating some ghostly theme to our snacks.

#BTSSpirit MARS candy

So, with the help of MARS treats I made some very delicious combinations to help with this year all around snacks. Not only for school but also to have on hand for those after school programs. And let me tell the minis are perfect to keep in my purse for a boost of energy, not only for the kids but for me too, you know we all need it every day, and thanks to the minis I can have one or two. Ok let be honest, I love to have a bag of SNICKERS® Mixed Mini Bags on hand, because is my absolutely favorite.

#BTSSpirit #ad #CollectiveBias #tutorial

Is very simple all you need is:

Mixed Mini Variety Bag
M&M’s® Milk 42 oz
M&M’s® Milk Chocolate Bottle
6 oz transparent container
Labels
Pen
Peanuts
Pirate Booties
Sour Gummies
Mini Graham Crackers

It is very simple, I like to make different combinations and place them in the container, for example:

M&M’s® Milk and Cookies

mm's milk chocolate and cookies #BTSSpirit

M&M’s® Milk and peanuts

mm's milk chocolate and peanuts #BTSSpirit

M&M’s® Milk and sour gummies

mm's milk and sour gummies #BTSSpirit

M&M’s® Milk and pirate booties

mm'smilk and pirate booties #BTSSpirit

You can also use the M&M’s® Peanut Bottle or peanut to place some of pretzels or cookies for them to take to school.

mm's peanut bottle and cookies #BTSSpirit

Or just mix them all and you will have a great tray of flavors.

trail mix #BTSSpirit

Place them on the container that is especially white for my ghostly theme, label with the name or just the day to make sure they grab the right one. Remember to keep and eye for in-store coupon to save $0.75 of 1 M&M’s® Bottle through September 30.

#BTSSpirit #snacks on the go

And of course, you can definitely take some to the movies to enjoy the Ghostbuster movie, in theaters now.

Orange Glace Donuts #FoodieExtravaganza

Orange Glace Donuts #FoodieExtravaganza

Ok, let me start by saying that I love donuts! Thank you, I needed that, I’m so happy to participate this month in the donut event for #FoodieExtravaganza and I’m sure you are too.

This is a great theme to have especially this month for me living in Southen California, the weather has been wonderful not too hot and perfect for baking, wich makes me so happy because I love to bake during the summer time. I know most of the donuts are fried but some people love to bake them and let me tell you those donuts are pretty delicious too.

Now let me talk about my donuts, I know that the title said orange glace, but, I decide also  to present them in a different way and add the orange zest to the dough, this addition will make the donuts tastier and with a delicious citrus flavor. I’m sure you will love the flavor and this is a great opportunity to have some fun in the kitchen with your kids and let them decorate and cover the donuts and those little fingers in gooey goodies.

July has arrived and that means it’s time for another #FoodieExtravaganza! Each month we take turns hosting and selecting a foodie holiday associated with that month. Somehow in all the planning July was overlooked so in a mad dash in the second half of June, Lauren of From Gate to Plate told us to celebrate the doughnut. If anyone is keeping score, National Doughnut Day is actually the first Friday in June, but none of us are complaining to be celebrating one of America’s favorite breakfast treats today. July is National Culinary Arts month so let’s just go with that. Also in July: Fried Chicken Day (today, the 6th), Blueberry Muffin Day (the 11th), and Junk Food Day (the 21st).

Cherry Chocolate Bundt Cake #BundtBakers

I was super inspire by the season when I create this recipe. I love the flavors of the winter and I said flavors because winter time is so special for baking and creating delicious comforting dishes.

Like this bundt cake, is very unique a particularly different to any other you have seen, not only has a beautiful color on the outside, but the cherry color on the inside is calling Christmas every time we cut a piece.

I love the flavor is like eating a piece of chocolate with cherry filling, and you can for sure add some cherry liquor to give it a little something extra, specially if you make it to take to a holiday party.
