Have you ever wonder in the aisles of the super market looking for an alternative to your everyday menu? Well I’m, and don’t get me wrong I love to cook but sometimes I need an easy alternative to our dinner.

Luckily for me I found the perfect and better alternative, no more junk food for us on those days. My go-to meal has to be the delicious frozen meals from Stouffer’s specially the most amazing lasagna I have ever had, the Family Size Lasagna with Meat & Sauce. It is incredible good and let me tell you as a lover of all things Italian, this lasagna is definitely at all times in my freezer.

What I love the most about Stouffer’s is the has recently announced its new “Kitchen Cupboard” commitment. This new initiative focuses on shortening and simplifying recipes that only include ingredients that consumers can recognize and can find at home, like vine-ripened tomatoes, freshly made pasta, and real mozzarella.

And over the next few years, consumers will see Kitchen Cupboard renovations across existing and new products.

The guidelines include:

  • Using ingredients that consumers trust and recognize, like what they would use in their own home kitchens, with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives
  • Working on simplified recipes that result in great taste with fewer ingredients
    Offering recipes that provide consumers with the same, or better, dining experience at a good value

So you have to be sure and thrust in the quality of the Stouffer’s products. With this delicious lasagna I decided to make a simple but perfect salad. This simple spinach salad wich my younger daughter love to make with me and you can’t image how well the salad and the lasagna go together.

  1. In a bowl mix all the veggies, and season with lemon juice, salt, pepper and olive oil. This salad is also perfect with any kind of dressing you like. You can add avocado, cucumber, or any other veggie you would want.
  2. Remeber to follow the instructions in the package of the Stouffer's lasagna before heating. Enjoy.

I’m so happy to share this recipe in the month of December, not only is this the perfect month to bake delicious treats, but you can make this biscotti and give it as a gift to teachers, friends and family.
I love to give homemade goodies for the holidays,this is more like a personal touch to me and I think people appreciated more.

Do you love to bake for the holidays? or Are you more the one who prefer to buy? Either way is ok, and if you want to we have some delicious ideas that can make your inner baker come to life. Biscotti sounds fancy and difficult, but don’t worry it is the most easy cookie to make, and you can use any flavor combination you desire to make it more interesting.

For me nothing beats the flavor of lemon and almond, and my biscotti recipe is not to sweet so for sure you can definitely dip your biscotti in the coffee or hot chocolate. The main idea here is eat more Biscotti!

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar for 5 minutes, add eggs, lemon zest and lemon juice. In a bowl combine, flour, salt and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture above and the almonds.
  2. Cut the dough in half and form a roll kind of shape and bake. Once the 25 minutes have past, take them out of the oven let it cool for 10 minutes and make diagonal cuts and place the slices cut side up back onto the baking sheet. Bake for an additional 10 minutes on each side.
